Aude sapere means dare to be wise, explanation

Aude sapere "Aude sapere" is a Latin  words appeared on the title page of second edition of Organon of Medicine, the meaning of which is "Dare to be wise"  or "Bold and sensible". Even today homeopaths are criticized as "placebo doctors". The media and the majority of dominant medical fraternity are denouncing the system. Only dare to be wise attitude can allow the true homeopath to practice their discipline. We have to remember that Homoeopathy is a theory of cure, not a theory of disease. The dynamic homeopathic medicines are intended to cure the patients and not prepared to test there efficacy in the laboratories. The many number of patience getting benefited by this system are the standing examples of its superiority over other system. But the above state is slowly changing as the physician of dominant school started realising the efficacy of homeopathy in the field of therapeutics.  #homoeopathicmedicine #homoeopathy #daretobewis...

Organon of medicine called as Bible of Homoeopathy

"Organon of medicine"  is called the "Bible of homoeopathy."  The meaning of this word "Organon" is a method of scientific investigation. Hahnemann the medical genius wanted the aspiring homoeopaths to study organon with a scientific, unprejudiced, artistic and inductive bent of mind. Organon is the mother of all homoeopathic subjects, it feeds educates, moulds the mind of would be homoeopath to perfect his therapeutic abilities with the help of available subjects. It is unimaginable to understand Homoeopathy without Organon of medicine. Organon of medicine is a book on medicine written by Samuel Hahnemann, the founder and the father of Homoeopathy. It was written in the later years of 18th century, considered a revolutionary book on medical philosophy. This book contains the guiding principles of Homoeopathy.  Practicing Homoeopathy in its unique method as preached by its founder Samuel Hahnemann is possible only by understanding the Organon o...

Aphorism 33

Aphorism 33 Medicinal power is superior to that of natural disease or miasm.  As natural disease act conditionally and medicines act unconditionally so, Dr. Hahnemann says that all experiences are in accordance to the fact that living organism is much more disposed having liability to be acted upon, thereby deranging its state of health by medicinal powers rather than by natural diseases or miasms.    ► In footnote Dr. Hahnemann gives supportive evidences to his statement by citing that during 1801 Smooth Scarlatina of Sydenham, which used to occur epidemically among children, it generally attacked all the children who had escaped the previous attack of epidemic; but in similar epidemic which Dr. Hahnemann witnessed in Konigslutter, he saw that all the children who had taken small dose of Belladonna in time remained unaffected by highly infectious infantile disease. So, Dr. Hahnemann says that if the medicine can protect from diseases, then they should have va...

Aphorism 32

Aphorism 32 Medicines acts unconditionally.  Medicines in contrast to those of diseases unconditionally, following are characteristics of medicines -   1. Medicines are called artificial morbific agents as they are capable of producing symptoms of sickness in healthy person resulting him to look sick.  2. Real medicines are those that act -     a) At all times.     b) Under all circumstances. Circumstances can be only two as meant here -  i.Circumstances in which health prevails.     ii. Circumstances in which disease prevails.           c) On all human beings.      3. If the medicinal dose is large enough, it produces distinctly perceptible symptoms peculiar to it. Thereby, every living organism is liable to be effected by medicine without pre requisition of any conditions, which is quite opposed to that of natural diseases.

Aphorism 31

Aphorism 31 Diseases act conditionally. of Having given proposition of modus homoeopathic cure, Dr. Hahnemann says that 1. Diseases August due to inimical forces of world, which he calls morbific noxious agents 2. These inimical agent are partly-   a) Physical- agents like heat, cold, rain, damp etc. As per Tridosha theory of Ayurveda, health is a balanced condition of three humours ie: Vata, Pitta, Kaffa. Causes of diseases were held by Hippocrates as imbalance between five humours ie.: Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Sky; as per his humoural theory.   b) Psychical - Any frightful dream, superstitious fancy, solemn prediction.     3. These morbific noxious agents derange state of health only when there is sufficient conditions applied -   a) When organism is sufficiently exposed to agent as in cases of epidemics.   b) When agent is stronger in intensity.   c) Organism is susceptible to attack of the agent By these ab...

Aphorism 30

Aphorism 30 Proposition of Modus Operandi of Homoeopathic cure. In last line of previous aphorism, it was mentioned that the probable explanation which Dr. Hahnemann was going to put forward is based on proposition which is mentioned here. Dr. Hahnemann here says that human body is more powerfully affected in health by medicines as compared to that of natural disease  1. Partly because regulation of dose of medicine is under our control  2. Partly because natural diseases are cured and overcome by suitable medicines.  ► In footnote Dr. Hahnemann says that short duration of action of medicine is comparable to acute miasm like small pox, measles etc., contrary to chronic miasms - Psora, Syphilis and Sycosis, which after effecting organism once is not removed by irrational effort of instinctive vital force unless treated by stronger anti miasmatic medicines. But in case of acute miasm after affecting organism, it cures previously existing similar disease and leav...

Aphorism 29

Aphorism 29 How Homoeopathic cure takes place? The phenomena of Homoeopathic cure is a very interesting and intriguing fact. Although, Hahnemann has asked us not to attach much importance as to how the Homoeopathic cure takes place, he puts forward the most probable explanation. First of all, we select a Homoeopathic remedy for the prevailing condition of the patient. This Homoeopathic remedy, we select accord- ing in the law of similars. After the administration of the similimum. we see that a similar artificial disease has been produced in the indivi- dn: by the drug. The new similar artificial' disease thus produced by th help of the drug is always to be matched in strength with that of the natural disease. This we can only know after judging the individual's susceptibility. The new similar artificial disease thus produced, will be similar to the natural disease and by the administration of a stronger dose (stronger to that of the natural disease) and from our kn...
