Aphorism 25
Merits of Homoeopathy

Having already established superiority of Homoeopathic mode of treatment over other prevailing modes of treatment during his time, Dr. Hahnemann says regarding infallible oracle of healing art - upon which Homoeopathy is based.

He says that this infallible oracle is seen in all careful trails and pure experience.

It teaches that the symptoms produced by medicine on healthy body are the one which can only be removed rapidly, radically and permanently by the very medicine in sick provided the potency and attenuation are suitable. Thereby, it cures without exception.

In Footnote Dr. Hahnemann explains about what he meant by calling "Pure experience": by pure experience he does not mean -

1. Experience of which physician of old school boasts.
2. Experience gained by working with lots of complex prescriptions on a number of diseases.
3. Experience having no careful investigation rather only systemic theory in support.

Dr. Hahnemann says of this type of experience that old school physicians think that they always see something, but knew nothing what they saw and they got result from a complex force acting on an unknown object - which no human being but only God could have unraveled; results from which nothing can be learned, no experience gained. He further comments by telling that fifty years of experience of this type- is like looking into a kaleidoscope filled with unknown coloured objects and perpetually turning round for fifty years giving thousands of colourful everchanging figures and having no account of them.

Aphorism 85

Explanation of Aphorism 84 Procedure to be adapted in writing.  While the patient narrates his sufferings the physician begins to write every new circumstance with a fresh line and leaves a few lines before beginning a new symptom, so that he could add to any line the matter which had not been explained properly.  Some physicians while taking up the case writes rubrics instead of whole symptoms as instructed in this section, saving their time. But whenever that record is seen much is lost as the exact expression and words of patient is missing and we find only interpretation of the physician in the form of rubrics - which if goes wrong is tough to rectify due to absence of full symptoms.

Aphorism 103

Explanation of Aphorism 103 In chronic diseases Psora should be investigated.  In case of epidemic diseases homoeopathic medicine pertaining to it could be found by observing several patients suffering from same epidemic. Similar is the case with chronic miasm Psora, which is so diversified in its manifestation that it requires several patients of different constitution and living under different conditions suffering from Psora to be observed carefully to know the complete range of symptoms it can produce. Only then a homoeopathic antipsoric medicine can be selected which can cure it. #Aphorism103
