Aphorism 42
Two or three dissimilar diseases can co-exist in same body at a time.
On speaking about complex diseases, Dr. Hahnemann says that even nature permits occurrence of two or three natural diseases simultaneously in the same body. This occurs either when the diseases could not cure each other due to lack of homoeopathicity or due to same intensity, they could neither be repelled nor gets suspended by each other. When it occurs it appears that each disease occupies its site in the organism suitable for its own existence, leaving other sites for other diseases without devaluing unity of life.
As two or three dissimilar diseases can co-exist in a body at a time, there occurs cases of mixed miasm.
