Aphorism 26

Aphorism 26
Homoeopathic law of Nature

The Nature's law of cure, as stated by Hahnemann in his aphorism No. 26 is: "A weaker dynamic affection is permanently extinguished in the living organism by a stronger one, if the latter (whilst differing in kind) is very similar to the former in its manifestations".

This nature's law of cure was applied by Hahnemann for the treatment of diseased individuals. In this way the Natural Disease is permanently removed by the Artificial Disease which will occupy the place of the former, but the Vital Force which has been strongly acted upon by the medicine will react strongly. The Artificial Disease, i.e. the Medicinal Disease, will go away by itself, as the dose wears off. The duration of action of the medicine is very short due to the minute- ness of the dose, but the Vital Force reacts to this primary action with an increased amount of energy to get rid of the stronger artificial disease and in this manner it frees itself from both, the Natural as well the Artificial Disease So the Natural Disease is cured by the primary action of the medicine, and the Artificial Disease is removed by the secondary curative action of the Vital Force.
In order to select the required medicine, it is essential that the pathogenic effects of all the medicinal substances being used as remedies should be known. The medicine selected should he suitable in potency so that we know that it is stronger than the natural dynamic disease.

Examples:
 (1) The stars which are so brilliantly visible during the night, disappear in the day when the Sun rises. The reason for this is that the light emitted by the Sun is far more powerful than that of the stars.

(2) Our griefs and sorrows are reduced when we hear of greater problems and sorrows of other people.

 (3) Beating of the drums during the war drowns the pitiable cries of soldiers.

Aphorism 85

Explanation of Aphorism 84 Procedure to be adapted in writing.  While the patient narrates his sufferings the physician begins to write every new circumstance with a fresh line and leaves a few lines before beginning a new symptom, so that he could add to any line the matter which had not been explained properly.  Some physicians while taking up the case writes rubrics instead of whole symptoms as instructed in this section, saving their time. But whenever that record is seen much is lost as the exact expression and words of patient is missing and we find only interpretation of the physician in the form of rubrics - which if goes wrong is tough to rectify due to absence of full symptoms.

Aphorism 103

Explanation of Aphorism 103 In chronic diseases Psora should be investigated.  In case of epidemic diseases homoeopathic medicine pertaining to it could be found by observing several patients suffering from same epidemic. Similar is the case with chronic miasm Psora, which is so diversified in its manifestation that it requires several patients of different constitution and living under different conditions suffering from Psora to be observed carefully to know the complete range of symptoms it can produce. Only then a homoeopathic antipsoric medicine can be selected which can cure it. #Aphorism103
